Chuetsu Pulp & Paper to build high-function cellulose nanofiber pilot plant at Takaoka facility

Chuetsu Pulp & Paper is investing ¥2.4 billion to construct a pilot plant for high-function cellulose nanofiber (CNF) production at its Takaoka facility in Toyama. The facility will produce 60 tonnes of CNF annually and is classified as part of the company's other business segment.
Ohishi Sangyo held a start-up ceremony for a new molding machine at its Ibaraki Plant on June 2, 2026. The equipment is intended to strengthen the company's supply system for pulp-mold products and support further business expansion.
