Zensho Holdings (operator of Sukiya and Hama Sushi) will build a food-processing plant in Kasaoka, Okayama — its first production base in the prefecture — on a roughly 30,000 sqm site in a private industrial park, targeting operation from FY2029. The plant will mainly process vegetables and meat to strengthen ingredient supply for the group's expanding restaurant network in western Japan, and sits near a planned smart interchange on the Sanyo Expressway. The plan was outlined by Kasaoka's mayor on June 16, 2026; a sister plant is also planned in Yamaguchi.
