Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India will invest about ¥25bn (approx. INR 15 billion / Rs 1,500 crore) to add a third production line at its second plant in Tapukara, Alwar district, Rajasthan, on newly acquired adjacent land of about 74,000 sqm. The line will build 125cc and 160cc scooters and light motorcycles with annual capacity of 670,000 units — lifting the plant's total capacity to about 2.01 million units — create roughly 2,000 jobs, and start operation in 2028.
