The project will develop three buildings totaling approximately 41,652 sqm, comprising two bonded rental factories and one general/bonded warehouse, with completion scheduled for May 2027.
Kawasaki Kisen has completed the newly built LNG carrier Puteri Kelantan for the PETRONAS group at Hudong-Zhonghua Shipbuilding in China. Kansai Electric has begun commercial operation of the Borkum Riffgrund 3 offshore wind power project in Germany, in which it participates alongside Gremont Partners and other investors. Iino Kaiun completed construction of the 93,000 cubic meter LPG/ammonia Very Large Gas Carrier LUMI AURORA at Hanwha Ocean's Okpo shipyard in South Korea. The LPG dual-fuel vessel is the company's third of its kind and is designed to reduce CO2 emissions while supporting winter navigation in the Baltic Sea.

Renesas Electronics has opened a Physical AI and Robotics Lab in Beijing to support customer demonstrations, validation and co-development of next-generation robotics systems. The R&D facility will integrate hardware, software, AI models, control, power, sensing and system-level validation, serving as a hub from proof of concept through large-scale deployment.
ADEKA will build a new manufacturing plant for its high-performance TRANSPAREX clarifying agent at the third plant of subsidiary ADEKA KOREA CORPORATION in Wanju County, South Korea. Tokuyama held the opening ceremony for a new semiconductor-grade polysilicon plant operated by its wholly owned subsidiary Tokuyama Vietnam in the Phu My 3 Special Industrial Park, Ho Chi Minh City. The facility will crush and wash polysilicon and serve as an overseas supply-chain hub, with trial operations and quality verification to follow.
PT Mulya Energi Lestari has started commercial operation of its 3.4 MW run-of-river Pungga small hydropower plant in North Sumatra, Indonesia. The facility supplies renewable electricity to Indonesia's state-owned utility PLN under a long-term power purchase agreement and is expected to reduce greenhouse-gas emissions by 8,863 tCO2 annually; EnBio Holdings participates through its jointly managed investment vehicle Alamport Renewables.
Yokowo's Chinese subsidiary Dongguan Youhua Communication Parts Co., Ltd. established a new anechoic chamber at the factory site of its affiliated manufacturing company in Dongguan, Guangdong. Test operation began in June 2026, with full operation scheduled for the end of June, enabling local evaluation and analysis of automotive antennas for GNSS, ETC, 4G, 5G and V2X applications.
Hanwa established HANWA STEEL SERVICE TIJUANA, S.A. DE C.V. in Rosarito, Baja California, its second coil centre in Mexico, and began full operations in August 2026. The site covers 38,086 sqm with 9,420 sqm of buildings and cuts and sells thin steel sheet for the Tijuana-Mexicali border region, where manufacturers supplying the United States are concentrated. Coil-centre functions previously run from San Diego Vista Steel Service in the United States transfer to the new operation at the end of August 2026. No investment amount was disclosed.
Mitsui Kinzoku plans to acquire land near its existing Malaysian plant and establish a new site from 2031 onward to expand production of VSP high-frequency printed-circuit-board copper foil and MicroThin carrier-supported ultra-thin copper foil. The new site is planned to add monthly capacity of 1,200 tonnes of VSP foil and 4 million sqm of MicroThin foil, supporting rising AI, semiconductor and data-center demand.
Sekisui Chemical opened a design center in Shanghai in July 2026, operated by Sekisui Interlayer (Suzhou) Co., Ltd., to support automotive manufacturers with CMF design, simulations, sample production and prototype evaluation. The center combines the group's laminated-glass interlayer technology with Chinese mobility design trends and is intended to support development from concept through mass-production studies.
Lion has approved construction of a new pharmaceutical plant through its wholly owned Vietnamese subsidiary Merap Lion. The facility will produce prescription and over-the-counter solid-dose medicines, including tablets and granules, with operations planned to begin in the second half of 2030.
Yakult Honsha will introduce solar power generation at its Philippines Yakult No. 2 factory to promote decarbonization. The project is the Yakult Group's first initiative to use Japan's Joint Crediting Mechanism (JCM).

The projects are scheduled to begin mass production sequentially from the second half of fiscal 2028, with rollable ribbon-cable capacity expected to approximately double from the end of fiscal 2025, driven by data-center and generative-AI demand.
Kyoei Steel revised the planned investment in Vinton Steel's Texas melt shop and rolling-mill upgrade from $327 million to $437 million, citing higher material, logistics and construction costs. The new melt shop is planned for 360,000 net tons a year. Construction started in July 2026; melt-shop operations are targeted for July 2027 and integrated commercial production for October 2027. The company describes its planned direct billet transfer welding and rolling process as a world first.
Mitsubishi Materials will invest approximately EUR 50 million to expand tungsten scrap processing capacity at H.C. Starck's flagship Goslar, Germany facility from 5,000 tonnes/year to 7,000 tonnes/year. New equipment construction will begin in 2026 and be completed in 2028. Post-investment, the facility is expected to source virtually all its tungsten feedstock from recycled material, strengthening Europe's critical minerals supply chain resilience.
Mitsubishi Electric will establish MEHITS US, a new subsidiary in Mason, Ohio, in August 2026 to manufacture cooling systems for data centers. The company will invest approximately $30 million to refurbish and convert an existing automotive manufacturing facility, targeting production startup in April 2027 with planned annual capacity of approximately 6,000 units by 2030.
Mazda has opened its first Indonesian complete vehicle assembly factory in Citeureup, Bogor Regency, West Java, through local partner PT Eurokars Motor Indonesia (EMI) and PT Eurokars Produksi Pratama (EPP) on July 28, 2026. Mazda invested over IDR 400 billion to build the roughly 65,000 sqm facility, which will produce the CX-30 model for the Indonesian and regional markets.
Daiichi Kogyo Seiyaku decided on capital investment to strengthen its supply system for low-dielectric resin materials used in high-end servers, amid surging demand driven by data center and high-speed communication infrastructure expansion. E-commerce support firm Itsumo has launched two new fulfillment centers dedicated to TikTok Shop: one in Noda, Chiba and one in Nishinomiya, Hyogo, both operational since April 2026. Combined the two raised-floor warehouses provide capacity for about 350,000 shipments per month, designed to handle the sudden order surges typical of live-commerce sales, with plans to expand further fulfillment sites nationwide.
Resonac Holdings will make an additional investment of approximately ¥15 billion at its Resonac HD Singapore subsidiary to expand hard disk media production capacity, driven by growing AI and cloud-driven demand for datacenter storage. Combined with a prior May 2026 expansion announcement, total capacity will rise 44% from about 160 million disks to about 230 million disks per year, with production lines to be brought online progressively from 2029. Resonac, a key merchant supplier of hard disk media to HDD makers, has also agreed on a price revision with customers to reflect the investment.
Fogel, an equity-method affiliate of Japan's Hoshizaki Corporation, held an opening ceremony on July 23, 2026 for its new commercial refrigerator factory in Villa Canales, Guatemala. The new plant, built since October 2023, has 1.8x the annual capacity of the existing facility (400,000 units/year at full operation) and will support expanded sales across Latin America; Hoshizaki plans to raise its stake in Fogel to 51% to make it a consolidated subsidiary.
