Hoshizaki affiliate Fogel opens new commercial refrigerator plant in Guatemala

Fogel, an equity-method affiliate of Japan's Hoshizaki Corporation, held an opening ceremony on July 23, 2026 for its new commercial refrigerator factory in Villa Canales, Guatemala. The new plant, built since October 2023, has 1.8x the annual capacity of the existing facility (400,000 units/year at full operation) and will support expanded sales across Latin America; Hoshizaki plans to raise its stake in Fogel to 51% to make it a consolidated subsidiary.
