Kawada Industries to replace beveling machine at Tochigi factory

Kawada Industries plans to replace a Hatari beveling machine at its Tochigi factory in Otawara, Tochigi. The ¥110 million project will be funded internally, with work scheduled from June 2026 through July 2027.
Hanwa established HANWA STEEL SERVICE TIJUANA, S.A. DE C.V. in Rosarito, Baja California, its second coil centre in Mexico, and began full operations in August 2026. The site covers 38,086 sqm with 9,420 sqm of buildings and cuts and sells thin steel sheet for the Tijuana-Mexicali border region, where manufacturers supplying the United States are concentrated. Coil-centre functions previously run from San Diego Vista Steel Service in the United States transfer to the new operation at the end of August 2026. No investment amount was disclosed.

Aichi Steel held the groundbreaking ceremony for a new forging plant at partner Vardhman Special Steels in Ludhiana, Punjab, India. The plant will add a hot rolling mill line, with mass production targeted for FY2028; the investment amount was not disclosed.
