Kurimoto to install ductile iron pipe manufacturing equipment at Kagaya Plant

Kurimoto plans to invest JPY 4.781 billion in ductile iron pipe manufacturing equipment at its Kagaya Plant in Suminoe-ku, Osaka. Construction began in April 2024 and is scheduled for completion in March 2027; the disclosure does not state the resulting capacity increase.
Hanwa established HANWA STEEL SERVICE TIJUANA, S.A. DE C.V. in Rosarito, Baja California, its second coil centre in Mexico, and began full operations in August 2026. The site covers 38,086 sqm with 9,420 sqm of buildings and cuts and sells thin steel sheet for the Tijuana-Mexicali border region, where manufacturers supplying the United States are concentrated. Coil-centre functions previously run from San Diego Vista Steel Service in the United States transfer to the new operation at the end of August 2026. No investment amount was disclosed.

Aichi Steel held the groundbreaking ceremony for a new forging plant at partner Vardhman Special Steels in Ludhiana, Punjab, India. The plant will add a hot rolling mill line, with mass production targeted for FY2028; the investment amount was not disclosed.
