Mitsubishi Materials to expand H.C. Starck tungsten recycling capacity at Goslar, Germany by about 50%
Mitsubishi Materials will invest approximately EUR 50 million to expand tungsten scrap processing capacity at H.C. Starck's flagship Goslar, Germany facility from 5,000 tonnes/year to 7,000 tonnes/year. New equipment construction will begin in 2026 and be completed in 2028. Post-investment, the facility is expected to source virtually all its tungsten feedstock from recycled material, strengthening Europe's critical minerals supply chain resilience.
