Riken Vitamin to expand production capacity at Oklahoma facility

Riken Vitamin plans production-capacity expansion work at its Guymon Extracts facility in Oklahoma, United States. The project is scheduled to start in December 2023 and be completed in August 2027, adding 500 tonnes of capacity; the total planned investment is JPY 1.54 billion funded internally.
Sakata Seed Iberica S.L., a subsidiary of Japanese seed company Sakata Seed Corporation, plans to develop office, warehouse and greenhouse facilities in Andalucia, Spain. The project has a total planned investment of ¥1.338 billion, with construction scheduled from July 2024 to July 2027.
Megmilk Snow Brand Vietnam, a subsidiary of Japanese dairy company MEGMILK SNOW BRAND Co., Ltd., held an opening ceremony on July 9, 2026, for a newly constructed factory producing processed cheese. The Vietnam manufacturing and sales base is intended to capture growing local demand and support expansion into neighboring Asian markets.
PlantX completed the Shinonome Demonstration Base in Koto, Tokyo, and held its opening ceremony on July 8, 2026. The facility is equipped with the company's latest modular cultivation systems and automated equipment to demonstrate labor-saving and resource-efficient indoor farming technologies ahead of mass production.
Riken Vitamin will build the Material Nexus Lab, a new R&D facility for chemical-product additives at its Tokyo Plant in Itabashi, Tokyo. The facility will consolidate R&D functions from the Osaka Plant and subsidiary Kenseido, with completion planned for March 2028 and operations beginning in April 2028.
Sato Foods is investing approximately ¥8 billion to build its second Seiro Factory in Niigata, an aseptic packaged-rice manufacturing plant. Construction began in February 2025 and is scheduled for completion in December 2026, increasing packaged-rice production capacity by approximately 16%.
