Sekisui Medical to build clinical trial drug manufacturing building at Iwate Plant

Sekisui Medical plans to construct a clinical trial drug building at its Iwate Plant in Hachimantai, Iwate. The project has a total planned investment of ¥3.942 billion, with construction scheduled from September 2025 to June 2028 and funded through internal funds and borrowings.
Olympus has completed the new B Building at its Nagano site in Tatsuno, Nagano, consolidating development and manufacturing functions and establishing a production base for key medical-device components. Construction began in February 2025, with full operation targeted for FY2026; the building has 17,665 sqm of total floor area and a total construction cost of approximately ¥18 billion.
JGC Holdings completed the UT3 biopharmaceutical active pharmaceutical ingredient facility for Chugai Pharmaceutical Industry at its Utsunomiya plant in May 2026.
