Toyota to build new plant building in Texas, shifting large truck production from Mexico

Toyota Motor North America announced construction of a new plant building at its Texas vehicle plant, set to begin operations in 2030. The facility will handle part of the production of the Tacoma pickup truck, currently strong in US demand, shifting output from Mexico. Total investment is $3.6 billion (approx. JPY 580 billion).
