Yo-Ho Brewing opens new craft beer brewery in Izumisano, Osaka

Craft beer maker Yo-Ho Brewing (Karuizawa, Nagano) is opening a new brewery in Izumisano, Osaka on July 23, with the full ¥3.8 billion construction cost funded by furusato nozei (hometown tax) donations raised by the city. The facility, located in Rinku Town, is a unique case of a capex project financed entirely through crowdfunding-style local tax donations rather than corporate investment.
