Green Battery starts construction of grid-scale battery storage project in Yamanashi

Green Battery Co., Ltd. has begun construction of a 2MW/8MWh grid-connected battery storage facility in Otsuki City, Yamanashi Prefecture, aimed at providing balancing capacity for the power grid amid growing renewable energy adoption. The facility is expected to begin operations in August 2026, participating in Japan's balancing, wholesale, and capacity markets.
