Hattendo to build new factory at Hattendo Village near Hiroshima Airport

Hattendo Co., Ltd. (Mihara, Hiroshima), known for its chilled cream bread, will break ground on June 5, 2026 for a new factory within its 'Hattendo Village' food theme park near Hiroshima Airport. The facility will expand its bread and confectionery lineup for gift/souvenir products, pursue FSSC22000 food safety certification, and include a visitor experience facility, with completion expected in June 2027.
Goyo Foods has completed a new factory in the Ishishi Industrial Park in Karatsu, Saga Prefecture. The facility is intended to expand production capacity and advance automation for the company's frozen-cake business, serving customers in Japan and overseas.

Oriental Consultants Global (OC Global), through the jointly funded project company PT. Akuakultur Konawe Nusantara, held a groundbreaking ceremony for a whiteleg shrimp aquaculture facility in Polewali Village, Southeast Sulawesi, Indonesia. The facility is scheduled to start construction in August 2026, be completed by the end of May 2027, and begin shipments in July 2027, with planned annual production of approximately 1,300 tonnes and future expansion to approximately 4,000 tonnes.
Nippon Marine Foods has decided to build a new plant on its headquarters factory site in Otsubo-honmachi, Shimonoseki, to expand production of processed seafood products. The project is being advanced under a construction agreement with Shimonoseki City, with a signing ceremony scheduled for August 31, 2026.
Sakata Seed Iberica S.L., a subsidiary of Japanese seed company Sakata Seed Corporation, plans to develop office, warehouse and greenhouse facilities in Andalucia, Spain. The project has a total planned investment of ¥1.338 billion, with construction scheduled from July 2024 to July 2027.
Megmilk Snow Brand Vietnam, a subsidiary of Japanese dairy company MEGMILK SNOW BRAND Co., Ltd., held an opening ceremony on July 9, 2026, for a newly constructed factory producing processed cheese. The Vietnam manufacturing and sales base is intended to capture growing local demand and support expansion into neighboring Asian markets.
