JR East Logistics opens new 33,000 sqm multi-temperature warehouse in Ichikawa, Chiba

JR East Logistics opened the 'Ichikawa Distribution Center (JREL Ichikawa DC)', a four-temperature-zone warehouse with about 33,000 sqm of floor space in Ichikawa City, Chiba Prefecture, on June 30. The facility, which will begin phased operations from October, consolidates temperature-segregated logistics functions for JR East's ekinaka (in-station) store supply chain and features advanced material handling equipment including automated storage systems, picking robots, and rooftop solar power generation.
