Mitsubishi Electric to build data center cooling equipment factory in Ohio, USA

Mitsubishi Electric will establish MEHITS US, a new subsidiary in Mason, Ohio, in August 2026 to manufacture cooling systems for data centers. The company will invest approximately $30 million to refurbish and convert an existing automotive manufacturing facility, targeting production startup in April 2027 with planned annual capacity of approximately 6,000 units by 2030.
