Nomura Real Estate starts agrivoltaic solar demonstration in Kawajima, Saitama

Nomura Real Estate began a demonstration project for agrivoltaic (farm-based) solar power generation on approximately 3,515 sqm of farmland in Kawajima, Saitama Prefecture, using sun-tracking solar panels installed above crops. The trial, part of the company's new Infrastructure & Industry business unit launched in FY2026, aims to diversify renewable energy procurement and will run for about three years starting July 2026, generating roughly 80MWh/year.
