OKI to build new production building at Numazu Plant for defense underwater acoustics

OKI will construct a new three-story production building at its Numazu Plant in Shizuoka Prefecture, which manufactures underwater acoustic systems and sensors, to strengthen production capacity for expanding defense demand and dual-use civilian applications such as ocean resource development. The investment is approximately JPY 3 billion, with the new building increasing production of sonar and sonobuoys by about 50% versus FY2023 levels while incorporating energy-saving and solar power facilities targeting ZEB/ZEH standards.
