RemixPoint's Shirakawa grid-scale battery storage facility begins balancing market operations

RemixPoint Inc. has completed grid interconnection of its 'NC Shirakawa Hyogo Bansawa' grid-scale battery storage facility in Fukushima Prefecture (1,998kW / 8,146kWh, using CATL batteries and TMEIC power conditioning systems) and started operating it in Japan's balancing (demand-supply adjustment) market as of July 17, 2026. This is the company's second facility to enter the balancing market, part of a mid-term plan to develop 32 grid-scale storage sites by FY2029, with over 20 to be company-owned.
