Green Energy Frontier breaks ground on new Central Power Substation at Narita Airport

Green Energy Frontier began construction on April 1, 2026 of a new central power substation serving Narita International Airport, the first full renewal of the facility since the airport opened. The new substation will expand receiving capacity by about 1.5x to accommodate future demand from Narita's runway expansion and terminal reconstruction project, and will feature AI-based energy demand forecasting and space for the company's headquarters relocation; completion is planned for FY2028.
