UHA Mikakuto to build new plant in Kagoshima for sweet potato processing

UHA Mikakuto (Osaka) signed a location agreement with Kanoya City, Kagoshima Prefecture to establish a new plant that will process and freeze-slice sweet potatoes, the key raw material for its 'Osatsu Doki' snack. The facility will move into an existing building formerly used by another company, with operations planned to start in September 2027, investing about JPY 680 million and creating 23 new jobs.
