Waita Dai-2 Chinetsu Hatsuden, backed by Furusato Netsuden, began commercial operation of the Waita No.2 Geothermal Power Plant in Oguni, Kumamoto Prefecture, built in partnership with the local Waita community. The plant has a capacity of 4,995 kW and is expected to generate about 35 million kWh annually, enough for roughly 8,950 households; Tokyo Gas Engineering Solutions served as EPC contractor.

Air Water has completed a demonstration facility at the Shinagawa Clean Center in Tokyo for high-CO2-concentration waste combustion under NEDO's Green Innovation Fund. Air Water designed and installed liquid oxygen supply, CO2 capture and CO2 liquefaction equipment, targeting a CO2 capture rate of more than 90% from waste treatment facilities.
