Power X to build new battery storage system factory in Tomakomai, Hokkaido

Power X Inc. will open a new plant, 'Power Base Hokkaido,' in Tomakomai, Hokkaido, to produce large-scale grid storage battery systems, supporting renewable energy adoption in Hokkaido and Tohoku. The facility will convert an existing building and start production of the 'Mega Power 2500' container-type battery system in June 2027, with total project cost of JPY 3 billion.
